Happy Sabbath (Star Magnolia)

To remember our Creator and His gifts comes easy while gazing at a tree or standing in a spring flower garden.  And gazing at a flowering tree just bubbles up praise.   This little Star Magnolia bloomed in my back yard while I lived in Idaho.   It hadn’t really made it to tree size then, but probably has by now.

Photo tips:   To catch light glowing through the petals, the upper branches were backlit by sun close to the horizon…very good time of day for much outdoor photography.   To separate lower flowers from busy background, black velvet fabric was hung behind them.

Elements 6 editing:  distracting plant material was removed from behind lower flowers with clone stamp tool set at 100% opacity.   The flowers themselves were not touched up.  That’s God’s own soft light on the petals.

Keep smiling and praising.
